Eid-ul Fitr Buses to Face Worthiness Test

Jakarta Administration is about to hold road-worthiness tests against intercity-interprovincial bus (AKAP) that arrived in several terminals in city.

Test is carried out throughout terminals

“Test is carried out throughout terminals. It will be run until 2015 homecoming flow ends," said Head of City Transportation Department, Pargaulan Butar-Butar, Wednesday (7/1).

He acknowledged, for the sake of homecomers' convenient and safety, the test over fleet of Eid-ul Fitr transportation will be conducted randomly. “It conducts randomly over 20 terminals throughout Jakarta,” he added.

If a bus fails the test then it will be directed to be grounded. “We don't want the unworthy bus threats the passenger's safety,” he asserted.

On the other hands, City Transportation Department keeps managing terminals facilities. “Ticket counter, waiting room, rest room and other facilities are repaired and painted. The improvement is slated to finish on H-7 before Eid-ul Fitr," he uttered.

The former Head of Transjakarta Public Service Agency added that integrated post will be provided in terminal. The posts are including medical and security post. “Such posts will operate on the upcoming July 3 or 4,” he disclosed.
